The wrist joint is formed by the 2 forearm bones (the radius and ulna) articulating with 8 carpal bones. These carpal bones are then connected to the bones of the hand (the metacarpals). There are many tendons and nerves that travel through the wrist and into the hand that can be vulnerable to injury because how much we use our hands on a daily basis. Athletes, laborers and individuals who work in an office are all at risk for overuse injuries to the joints over time.
