The hip is a ball and socket joint formed by the thigh bone (femur) and the socket of the pelvis (acetabulum). The hip is important for balance and stabilizing the body during standing and walking.
Conventional treatment of hip pain can range from anti-inflammatory medications to cortisone injections to more invasive surgical options such as hip arthroscopy and even a total hip replacement.
Dr. Bullock offers some of the country’s most advanced, nonsurgical treatments for many hip conditions using your body’s own stem cells and blood platelets. Regenerative medicine treatments can stimulate your body’s own stem cells and blood platelets to stimulate healing and speed repair for a several hip conditions.
Sacroiliac (SI) joint pain is a common cause of low back pain. The SI joints are formed by the the back of the pelvis bone joining the base of the spine (sacrum). These joints can be treated successfully with PRP or stem cell procedures.
Although there are other causes of low back pain including herniated discs and spinal stenosis, there is not much literature at this time supporting their treatment with regenerative medicine. For this reason, Dr. Bullock does not perform procedures for these conditions.
